Born and raised in South Carolina, Edgar Johnson grew up with a deep passion for the arts—one that would later fuel his love for hair. He first explored creativity through art classes before discovering musical theatre in high school, where he built confidence and allowed his bubbly personality to truly shine. After graduation, Edgar pursued the world of beauty at the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, where he developed a strong love for education and an ever-growing hunger for learning.

Behind the chair, Edgar finds true joy in cutting, color, and curls. With education at the core of his work, he takes every opportunity to expand his knowledge and refine his craft. From advanced training with the Goldwell Academy to in-house DevaCurl education, Edgar is continually learning and evolving. Guests can feel confident knowing their stylist approaches beauty and fashion with precision, intention, and confidence rooted in knowledge.

At home, you’ll often find Edgar enjoying the simple things that inspire his creativity—spending time with his cats, diving into a good book, baking something sweet, or unwinding with anime and manga. A lifelong Dolly Parton fan, he believes in leading with kindness, confidence, and a little sparkle. These passions shape the warmth, joy, and personality he brings into the salon every day, creating an experience that feels both elevated and genuinely welcoming.
